Welcome to Istanbul! This isn’t just sightseeing—it’s a hands-on exploration of a city spanning two continents and two millennia. Over seven days, you will not only walk the historic paths of Sultans, Emperors, and heroes, but you will actively engage with Turkish culture. Master the art of Ebru, cook traditional cuisine, find tranquility in a genuine Turkish Bath, and journey to Bursa, the Ottoman birthplace. Prepare for a uniquely dynamic and deeply rewarding adventure.

Day 1: Welcome to Turkey

Arrive in Istanbul and check into your hotel. Enjoy a relaxed, introductory walking tour of the Sultanahmet area, taking in the illuminated exterior of the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Have a welcome dinner at a traditional local restaurant.

Day 2: Istanbul

Start with the incredible Basilica Cistern as requested. Afterwards, visit the iconic Hagia Sophia and the magnificent Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmed Mosque). Immerse yourself in a hands-on Traditional Turkish Art Workshop, learning the delicate and unique art of Ebru (paper marbling). Witness the mesmerizing and spiritual Mevlevi Sema Ceremony (Whirling Dervishes) before dinner near your hotel.

Day 3: Bursa

Full Day Excursion to Bursa: Travel to Bursa, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire, via a combination of bus and fast ferry. Visit the magnificent Ulu Cami (Grand Mosque), explore the historic Koza Han (Silk Market), and see the tombs of the early Ottoman Sultans. Enjoy local cuisine, perhaps the city’s famous İskender Kebap. Later return to Istanbul by the same route.

Day 4: Istanbul

Spend the morning exploring the vast grounds, courtyards, and exhibition halls of Topkapi Palace, the former seat of the Ottoman Empire. Lunch near Eminönü or Karaköy. Turkish Cooking Class: Participate in an immersive Turkish Cooking Class, learning to prepare a full, multi-course meal of classic Turkish dishes, which you will then enjoy for dinner. Evening: Enjoy your self-made dinner.

Day 5: Istanbul

Visit Dolmabahçe Palace, the opulent residence that replaced Topkapi in the 19th century. Explore the charming, seaside neighborhood of Ortaköy, famous for its beautiful mosque right on the Bosphorus. Explore the lively streets around Taksim Square and walk down the popular shopping artery of İstiklal Avenue for a taste of contemporary Istanbul life.

Day 6: Istanbul

Dive into the bustling markets, starting at the fragrant Spice Market before exploring the lalleys of the Grand Bazaar. Cross the Galata Bridge and explore the vibrant Karaköy neighborhood. Turkish Bath Experience: Indulge in a relaxing and purifying traditional Turkish Bath (Hammam) experience. Take a breathtaking Bosphorus Sunset Cruise to view the city’s landmarks from the water as night falls.

Day 7: Departure

Transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Activities and timings on the first and last day are subject to adjustment based on your flight schedules.
