The charismatic archipelago of Indonesia, the world’s largest archipelago state consisting of about thirteen thousand islands bobbing around in tropical seas, reserves many surprises for the intrepid visitor. The third most populous nation on earth has an incredible legacy of peoples, cultures and natural wonders just waiting to be explored.

Day 1: Arrival & Ubud Acclimatization

Arrive at Denpasar Airport (DPS) and transfer directly to your accommodation in the spiritual heart of Bali, Ubud. Acclimatize with a gentle walk through the Tegalalang Rice Terraces, learning about the traditional Subak irrigation system, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Dinner featuring traditional Balinese cuisine, followed by an introductory briefing on Hindu-Balinese culture.

Day 2: Balinese Arts & Culinary Workshop

Weu will visit a traditional market, learn about local spices, and prepare a multi-course Balinese lunch. Participate in a hands-on Batik painting or Wood Carving workshop, learning an ancient art form from local artisans. Experience a mesmerizing traditional Kecak Fire Dance performance at a local temple.

Day 3: Mount Batur Sunrise Trek

A very early start (pre-dawn) for the hike up Mount Batur (1,717m). This accessible volcano trek offers a challenging climb and is rewarded with a spectacular sunrise view. Descend and relax tired muscles at the Toya Devasya Natural Hot Springs on the edge of Lake Batur. Transfer to the eastern coast for a change of pace.

Day 4: Whitewater Rafting & Subak System

Experience an exciting Whitewater Rafting trip down the Telaga Waja River (Grade II/III). Afternoon visit to a local regenerative farm or coffee/spice plantation to learn about sustainable agriculture and the impact of tourism on food systems. Transfer in the late afternoon to the South Coast. Check in, dinner and overnight in our hotel (Kuta area).

Day 5: Marine Conservation Project

Take an early fast boat across to one of the Nusa Islands. Participate in a hands-on Marine Conservation activity. This includes a Coral Restoration Workshop (learning to plant coral fragments) or visiting a Sea Turtle Conservation and Education Centre (TCEC) to assist with hatchling care (seasonal). Dinner and overnight in our hotel (Kuta area).

Day 6: Surf Lesson & Uluwatu Sunset

Morning Surf Lesson on the beginner-friendly waves of Legian or Kuta Beach, teaching students teamwork and ocean safety. Lunch at the beach, return to hotel for rest and then get changed for the transfer to Uluwatu Temple perched dramatically on a cliff edge. Witness the spectacular sunset performance of the Kecak Fire and Trance Dance.

Day 7: Surf Lessons & Beach Clean-Up

Morning Surf Lesson on the beginner-friendly waves of Legian or Kuta Beach, teaching students teamwork and ocean safety. Afternoon: Engage in a Beach Clean-Up initiative (e.g., with a local NGO like Trash Hero), providing a tangible service-learning opportunity focused on waste management in a tourism-heavy area. Farewell Dinner on the beach at sunset.

Day 8: Departure

Enjoy a final Indonesian breakfast before transferring to Denpasar Airport (DPS) for your flight back home. The itinerary may vary slightly based on flight times, weather conditions, and the chosen trekking option.
