Day 1: Arriving, Guangzhou

Arrive in Guangzhou and meet your dedicated [it’s] Tour Leader. Transfer to your hotel. The activities will depend on your arrival time.

Day 2: Guangzhou, Industries & Architectures

Students will explore the engine of modern China with an Industry Tour to the Guangzhou Zhujiang Brewery and its museum. After lunch, the group will ascend the iconic Guangzhou Tower for panoramic city views before experiencing the rich artistic heritage at the magnificent Chen Ancestral Museum. Cantonese cooking lessons and dinner.

Day 3: Guangzhou – Guilin

Enjoy panoramic views of bustling Guangzhou and a farewell Cantonese brunch. Transfer to the station to board a high-speed train to Guilin. Journey through China’s landscape toward the “pearl of China.” Arrive in Guilin and transfer to a local village homestay. Meet your hosts, check-in, and share a delicious traditional dinner with the local family.

Day 4: Guilin – Yangshuo

Breakfast with the host family, followed by hands-on farming activities (e.g., rice transplanting or fruit picking). Gain a practical understanding and appreciation of rural life. Visit tthe Princess Jingjiang’s Mansion Museum and Guilin Woodblock New Year and prints Workshop. Transfer to the scenic town of Yangshuo. Check-in at the hotel and enjoy dinner in preparation for the next day’s adventures.

Day 5: Yangshuo

Transfer to Xingping Ancient Town, renowned for its natural beauty and cultural heritage. Board a traditional bamboo raft for a scenic cruise along the Li River, capturing views of karst peaks. After lunch, explore the beautiful countryside with a relaxing bicycle tour. Return to the hotel for a well-deserved, scrumptious dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Yangshuo – Guilin

Embark on a guided cave exploration tour to discover local geological wonders. After lunch, experience local culture by visiting a local football club to learn about its operation and enjoy a casual game, 90-minute, 5-a-side match. Return to Guilin, check-in and dinner nearby.

Day 7: Guilin

After breakfast, transfer from Guilin to Pingan Village and witness the marvelous rice terraced fields. Learn about traditional rice farming methods and the culture of the local Zhuang ethnic minority. Enjoy a special local dinner and engage in valuable cultural interaction with the village community.

Day 8: Departure

Breakfast at your hotel. Today’s activities will depend on your flight schedule.
