Your Portuguese adventure begins in Porto, the vibrant capital of Northern Portugal, offering a high-impact sightseeing in its famous riverside district. Heading south, stop in Coimbra, where the magnificent university dominates the hilltop, followed by the coastal drama of Nazaré. Your journey culminates in Lisbon, the city built across seven hills, which blends monumental landmarks with its quaint backstreets. This North-to-South exploration reveals the diverse history, culture, and unforgettable architecture of Portugal.

Day 1: Arrival

Meet your school coach and guide for transfer to the airport. Fly to Porto, then transfer and check into your hotel. Enjoy dinner near your hotel, subject to flight schedules.

Day 2: Porto

Our morning begins with a Harry Potter tour, starting at Café Majestic and visiting São Bento Station, Palacio da Justicia, the University of Porto, and Livraria Lello. Later, we’ll explore Mercado do Bolhão for a traditional market lunch. Then, head down to Bairro Ribeira for a Douro River boat tour, famous for its bridges. The day concludes with dinner and a Fado show. Return to your hotel and overnight.

Day 3: Douro valley

Breakfast at your hotel. Head to picturesque Amarante for a morning of kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding on the Tâmega River. Enjoy a riverside lunch, then choose more river fun or a stroll through Amarante’s charming historic center, visiting its iconic bridge and church. The day concludes with your return to Porto for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Coimbra – Lisbon

After breakfast and check we’ll travel to Coimbra. There, we’ll visit the emblematic University of Coimbra, one of Europe’s oldest. After lunch, we ‘ll drive south to Nazaré, the most famous wave in the world. Check in our hotel in Lisbon and dinner nearby.

Day 5: Belém

Breakfast at your hotel. Go to the Belém, western part of Lisbon. Celebrate Portugal’s history of maritime discovery at the Torre de Belém and the Padrao dos Descobrimentos. Then, visit the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, highly ornate monastery. After lunch, guided tour of the Museu de Arte Antigua, and savor the tasty pasteis de Belém custard tarts. Dinner in local restaurant in Barrio Alto.

Day 6: Surfing & Sintra

Breakfast at your hotel. Our centre offers a selection from 5’2″ shortboards to 9’3″ longboards and beginner softboards which enable everyone to have some safe fun in the wave. After lunch, visit spellbinding Sintra, a town with architectural Moorish reminders and tranquil charm. Dinner at your hotel.

Day 7: Modern & historic Lisbon

Spend the morning at the ultra-modern side of Lisbon, Parque das Nações. After, explore the streets and neighborhoods of Lisbon’s historic Centro. Stroll through the Alfama to the Castelo de Sao Jorge. Gala dinner.

Day 8: Departure

After breakfast and depending on your departure time, you’ll have some last-minute shopping in Lisbon. Transfer to Lisbon Airport and return flight.
